Storage issue HELP!
Think I know the answer but need someone a lot more savvy than I to tell me. I have video editing software on my system, one that always show how much space is left on the hard drive to store edited material. I cleaned out all the old videos, music files, all the extra garbage and it still shows a majority of the memory filled.
I also have ITunes managing my IPod music, and that program is filled with music, almost 30 gigs. I know this sounds foolish, but is that one of my issues? If I were to take the ITunes and everything in it, drop it into my backup hard drive and then delete the original program and tunes...would that clear up more operating and storage room? I'd still be using everything, just on a drive that isn't holding all the original material.
I'm guessing too that the drive showing full includes programs and such, so would moving as much non-program material as possible also clean up more operating/usage space?
Appreciate the answers...I'll wisen up and not have to ask again. Thanks.
