Go to SolutionUnity Hybrid Dynamic Pool Config Support system drive add HDD?
Hi everyone.
Unity OE 5.2 later Hybrid Storage support Dynamic Pool.
When sizing from MidrangeSizer to Dynamic Pool, HDD can be configured when the system drive is configured separately.
Can DynamicPool be configured as HDD without SSD in Hybrid Storage?

Dynamic pools can be single tier (HDD only for example) or multi-tier.
HDD system drives cannot be added to a dynamic pool.
Reply As you replied, I disabled data reduction and proceeded, so I did not receive a notice that 10% of the flash capacity was needed.
However, even if the system drive is configured separately as hdd, it seems to be finally configured as a dynamic pool.
Isn't the above state a DynamicPool configuration?
Of course, this assumes that disks are added one by one when the pool is expanded without using the data shrink feature.

In your screenshot your system drives are separate to the pool (you don't have "Use System Drives for Data" ticked). The software will not allow HDD system drives in a dynamic pool for performance reasons.
10% flash is required because you have selected data reduction. 10% flash is required by that feature in both dynamic and traditional pools.

Yes you have a dynamic pool. But your system drives are not part of the pool, and cannot be if they are SAS or NLSAS drives.
See https://www.delltechnologies.com/asset/en-us/products/storage/industry-market/h16289-dell_emc_unity-dynamic_pools.pdf section 3.1 where this is stated.
