Zz.exe

I have a file called Zz.exe in my c drive and it has a companion called zztop.bat. I searched in google on this and it is either: (1) something called Zombie Zapper OR (2) a file installed by Dell for memory applications. How can I determine which it is? Under properties it has (Unknown) for created. It is 140KB in size and is a hidden file. Before I remove it and screw up my Dell Dimension, does anyone have any insight on this?????? Thanks!!

    Hi,

ZZ.exe is a program ZZTOP that Dell install that will allow a new user to go back to their factory fresh installed congfiguration for a brief period after they buy the machine.

Once you start to add things to the hard disk and basically "overwrite the image file on the machine" it stops being possible to do this.

If it is only taking 140kb, I'd just leave it be, it is a minor fraction of your hard disk space. It is probably far too late to be able to use it anyway.Deleting it should not harm your system but it is probably not worth bothering with.
