What is the difference between Hyper and LUN ?

Are they both same ? If not why they are named so ?

Hyper is a logical device created from partitioning many physical devices to achieve better performance (i.e more read write heads ) .

We usually call them Hypers , Devices or LUN's in general terminology

Shubham is correct about LUN , it can be a single Hyper or collection of hyper's
