VMAX performance alerts about the time change, can't be deleted?
Does anyone know how to delete the performance alerts on Unisphere with VMAX. I have a VMAX 10K, I got the performance alert which happened during time change. The article
https://emc--c.na5.visual.force.com/apex/KB_BreakFix_1?id=kA1700000000RCi . We as customers, don't need to get in the habit of ignoring alerts on our Storage. One day there will be an alert that will get ignored. There should be a way delete the alert, being there isn't a terrible problem. This is 2013, not 19xx and on enterprise level box should be able handle time changes without errors.
As I know the issue described in KB may be fixed in future release for Unisphere for VMAX, For delete the alerts, have you tried to following steps in Unisphere for VMAX?
1.Select the Symmetrix system.
2.Select System > Alerts to open the Alert list view.
I never got an answer from EMC on my issue. The alert on mine has been cleared, but I'm not sure if it was because somebody remoted into the box or it went away on its own. I know there are some things that you can do via symcli that don't always work thru Unisphere. I'm hoping the above procedure will fix your issue. Wish I could be more help.
The performance alerts in the Unisphere for Vmax cannot be deleted Manually , if you are trying to delete them you get error stating "The selected alerts contain performance alerts which cannot be deleted. Please re-select."
That's working as designed and expected behavior, the performance alerts can only be acknowledged and will delete as the alert list grows.
Performance alerts are combined with Diagnostics data, so based on the diagnostic data retention period (default of 7 days) they will be deleted from database.

I have the same exact question. When fine tuning the alerting, I modified some thresholds to test the alerting, now I cannot delete them.
Please let me know if you find out how to remove them.
