I'm trying to do an initial replication between my 2 VNXe boxes. The problem is once its complete I need to relocate one of the boxes to a new location. I have a different subnet at the other location. Is it possible to change the ip address on the box and maintain the replication? If not what do you suggest I do for the initial replication?
You first setup replication connections from your source to target. Complete your initial replication. Once you have replicated what you need, you can pause replication. Shutdown and halt the VNXe that is your target. Move it to where you want it to be. Follow emc268724 to re-IP your target platform. Once you have moved and re-IP'd your target, go into hosts, replication connections and modify and update your current connections. Once this is complete, replication will continue from the last known good checkpoint.
I managed to get the document, the destination SAN is greyed out on the source at the replication sesion details and I am unable to resume replication.
Any Idea? I have logged two webex sessions with VNXesupport but no luck yet.
Did you update the connections status on both sides. It is really importatnt to make sure that your networking is correct at the new side. If it is not and your default gateway to the datamover is nor correct you will see this behavior.
I created a new replication to test it and it is working, I am still unable to resume the other two replications as they are greyed out. I am aslo unable to delete any of those replication sessions or LUN's associated with them. Is there any cmd line I can use to delete a replicated session or LUN or to resync it again? I have done a few webex sessions with VNXesupport but with no luck yet.
