SPA on our clariion CX400 is showing as unmanaged, however it appear to be still owning some LUNs.. I couldn't even run a sp collect on this SP.. any ideas?
This also preventing me to add any new users to the system as it says 'couldn't communicate with another node'.
I would tend to get a case open with EMC Support quickly on this one since it may affect your ability to get certain alerts of other issues in the system. In the mean time though you can try somthing that may help.
First I would try restarting the Management Server for both SPs (one at a time). To do this you will need to connect to the IP address of your SP in a web browser but use "/setup" instead of "/start" (e.g. http://192.168.1.1/setup). You will need to log in here with credentials that have admin access for the array. Once you are in you will find a button marked "Restart Management Server". This button will restart the management server but will not affect the normal functioning of the array for attached hosts. It will take a few minutes before the management server will be available again. Once the SP is done you will need to do the same thing on the other SP (just connect to /setup on the other SP's IP address).
This may resolve the issue, but it is more likely that Support will have to connect in and do some magic. This could be a bad physical connection used for cross SP communication or it might be a failed process on the SP for the NaviAgent. But the Management Server restart is at least worth trying in the mean time while you are waiting for Support to call you back.
The problematic SP isn't even responding to ping.. that mean, i am not able to connect for /setup option. Does the restart of management server on peer SP helps in anyway?
Do you have the procedure to do so? We already tried to connect through SP ports using crossover cable and also serial cable with PPP connection but it doesn't connect.
Do you guys now how to restart this service called K10 governor?
