i formatted my pc and i need help because i installed all the drivers and everything but i need something else because it has the question mark on other divices and it says PCI Input device and i need to install the drivers for that but i dont know what it is please help me on this
ok thank you for that help but now i did something i shouldnt have done and what i did was that i installed the wrong driver for the pci input device and now when window starts it tells me something in some blue screen telling me that an error has occur during installing something and it says something about system information and it shows a lot of 0000000
Will the system boot into XP at all? Will it boot into
Safe Mode? It would be very helpful if you would post the text of the error message that's being displayed, as well as what driver you attempted to install.
well he installed a driver that that it was not for the device and it said something about you have to make sure that nit is the correct driver or your system would not work correctly so he click on yes and the computer had to restart and when it restared went into that blue screen so anyway i called dell but i wasnt next to the desktop but they told me something about safe mode so please help me
There's a link in my previous post that will help you get XP to start in Safe Mode. If you are unable to start the machine in Safe Mode, you may need to restore the system.
This Dell article suggests several alternative ways to resolve problems like yours. If you have a Dimension or Inspiron system that was shipped after July 15, 2004, you should be able to use the
Dell PC Restore Utility to bring your system back to the state it was in when you received it.
Dell Support should be able to help you with this. Call them when you have time. You'll need to be near the machine so they can talk you through the steps needed to recover.
ok so what i am going to do is just call dell so that they could guide me through it so i can start it in safe mode so that might help and also i read on your post that i could do a driver rollback but the problem is that the pci input device did not have a driver so would that be nessary though because im just going to call them and have them guide me through because i cannot do nothing after the windows xp home edition starts when the system is restarting it just has the blue screen so anyway thank you for letting me know about this safe mode thing and if anything im just going to email you back ok

This section of the XP reinstallation guide for the 8200 explains what drivers will be needed after the base XP reinstallation is complete. The key one you're missing is the chipset drivers.
