Adding Windows Components w/o CD

Any clue how i can update my windows components w/o a CD?

When i received my inspiron 8200 about 4 years back i was never
given a CD of Windows XP, only the patch.

Now i am trying to reinstall Internet Explorer, but am unable
to since Windows XP is looking for the CD.

Dell does not have an option under support to cover this.

Thanks,
Tom Sherlock

You should use Message Options to edit your prior post and remove your email address unless you want a lot of spam.

Your computer would have come with Windows XP OEM, not "a patch".  No such disk would have shipped from Dell.

Without the CD you cannot repair XP.
