Audio doesn't work

After installing SP2 my audio quit working.  May just be a coincidence, but audio is not working now.  I've removed and reinstalled the driver and it says the driver can't start (code 10).  Help.

     I have a brand new 8400 and installed SP2 soon after it arrived. I don't have sound now. I first noticed a CtHelper MFC Error message when I logged on and now I can't open anything associated with Creative MediaSource or Audigy 2 without getting an error message of some sort.   The only solution I have seen posted anywhere is to reinstall Windows and I am not ready to go that far yet. Any other ideas out there?

    I seen people having the same problems on the same original posted that the person has started in these message boards. Case in point like this post here. Also it is very hard to answer to the original post in text. Please make your own post. Thank's
