I have a Dell Inspiron 6000, and it cannot shutdown! Whenever I click start, shutdown, nothing happens, the screen remains the same with the desktop staring at my face... Is their a solution to this?
The Reason is that there are programs that are still running at the back ground ,
Press CTRL + ALT +DEL and check hw many programs are still running at the background .. Close the programs that are still running which you have closed
or you can go to start - run - msconfig - startup - uncheck the programs that are not required which will help you in shuting down your system faster .
