Dell PC Tuneup crashes

When I run a deep scan, PCTuneup malfunctions at 3% of the total scan, which is also 75% of the "clutter" scan.  It happens even when I disable my firewall, antivirus, and spyware.  The problem just began to occur after several weeks of use.  Under "Application" in "Event Viewer" I get a message that says "Faulting application PCTuneUp.exe, version 2.1.4.7, time stamp 0x2a425e19, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6002.18005, time stamp 0x49e03824, exception code 0xc0000029, fault offset 0x000671bd, process id 0x1748, application start time 0x01ca0c6952224f00."

I,too, have this problem, but I get no error message.  One minute its running, the next its gone off the screen, closed itself down.  In the beginning I only made it to about 3% but if I reopen and run it over and over again I can get to about 78% before it closes itself down.  When I reopen it it never shows any issues that were found.  Used to run fine with absolutely no problems for over a year.

Ditto! I have same problem… except I haven't ever been able to complete a deep scan. In addition, my Dell XPS computer crashes constantly if I set Dell PC Tuneup to run automatically.

I will not renew. Can anyone suggest a better product?

Mine does the same thing and when I contacted dell they told me I could PURCHASE a warranty to repair this issue. I have 25 months left on my PAID subscription to this program and now they want me to PAY to repair the program.

    Heres a thought,

Step one: uninstall Dell PC Tuneup

You don't need this stuff on your computer, as you can see it only causes problems!!
