Do background & scheduled tasks run in DELL power down modes?
Just wondering if computer automatically 'wakes up' to run Vista background and scheduled tasks (under DELL power settings) if it is in a 'powered down/sleep state', or does everything clamor to run at once when the computer comes out-of-sleep because background and scheduled tasks
were 'missed'?? TIA :smileysad:

Scheduled tasks can't be performed when the computer is in Sleep or Hibernate mode. If a scheduled task is missed because the computer is in Sleep or Hibernate, Windows will perform the task next time the computer is turned on.
I have a desktop if this makes any difference (vs a laptop). Under 'task scheduler,'
option(s) to "wake computer up to run task(s)" is greyed out, even under 'run as administrator.' Does the selected DELL power scheme have anything to do with how the computer reacts under these circumstances? TIA
