duplicate music files

Windows XP

Windows Media Edition

How can I get rid of duplicate, triplicate etc. files Have Windows Media Player 11 which seems to be causing the problem

Do you actually have multiple sound files or just multiple listings for the music files in the Windows Media Player?

just had duplicate listings. I have manually deleted them and now Windows Media Player seems OK; however Media Center still is not right. I cannot add or delete items and they do not get added automatically from Windows Media Player. Any suggestions? If I try to add folders I get message no folders added. This is a rather recent problem.
