Hello:
My friend gets the BSOD every time he boots up his computer. He gets the following three messages: Stop:0x0000008E(0xC0000005,0x8054A10D,0xB332F5FC,0x00000000)
Stop:0x0000008E(0xC0000005,0x8054A168,0xBA57FBA0,0x00000000)
Stop:0x0000008E(0xC0000005,0x8054A10D,0xB442AB70,0x00000000)
He says he can't boot into safe mode or boot from a CD. Can anyone help us here.

i think that they should be able to boot from the win xp cd if their BIOS settings are adjusted to where the cd-rom drive is the "first boot device".. they can check their BIOS settings to see if the cd-rom drive is the first boot device..on my dell, to access the bios settings, you press "F2" as the computer is booting up in order to access the BIOS settings.. on older dells, you press the "delete" key as the computer is booting up in order to access the BIOS settings..use the arrow keys and the "plus" and "minus" keys to navigate within the BIOS settings and to make changes to the settings..if they can then manage to boot from the win xp CD, one option would be to try "reformatting", doing a clean reinstall of win xp et al..the error could be caused by faulty memory, or by using memory that is not compatible with the computer, or by installing other hardware that is not compatible with the computer..one person says that a virus can also cause the error:
like the other poster said, it wouldn't hurt to run "diagnostics" to see if the memory tests OK..
