I've got FF3 and don't notice any difference over FF2. However, at some point they will stop supporting FF2 so best to go to the new version, unless you have a "must have" add on that will not work with FF3.

For me, FF3 appears to be noticably faster than 2. Basically, it just seems to work better, and is well worth the five minutes needed to upgrade (all settings carry over, and the only thing that might not are plugins that use API options that no longer exist in FF3).
From what I've read, support for FF2 ends in December.
