Flashing Cursor

It boots past the Dell screen and then the flashing cursor. I have removed the HD, the memory. I have updated the BIOS. I can get to the F2 and F12. Run the diagnostics; and it says all is fine... Yet, windows still fails to boot. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you having Inspiron desktop 530 with 320 or 500 gb Samsung HDD installed,if thats the case just leave the computer on the blinking cursor screen for 2-3 hours, the computer will slowly boot into the windows ,this is nothing but the HDD manufactuterer has installed a builtin diagnostics on the HDD that will check for any HDD errors and will fix it by itself....

    I have an Inspiron 530 with a 500gig Samsung.

This is happening on a monthly basis.

Where did you get you info about the HDD manufactuter diagnostic?

    Thanks,

    Steve
