Dell has a recommended order for driver installation.  If it is available for your system, the first installation must be the Dell Desktop System Software.  Follow that with the Intel Chipset Driver, and if you can't find DSS for your system, make the chipset driver the first one to be installed.  The remainder are less critical, but due to the resources they require, Dell recommends following the chipset driver with the video, network interface adapter, and sound adapter drivers, in that order.  Installation order of whatever you have left is not normally critical.
