improvement

This is the closest forum that addresses my question, if I may. I would like to move ahead with my knowledge of pc's- I can navigate xp ok and run a clean machine but am frustrated by my limitations re: partitioning, reformatting, working with the bios etc.
Is there a source for the non tech to move ahead that you can think of? Thank you.

    The forum is basically designed for assisting users with problems, not an "educational" forum.  There are many books around such as the "Windows XP for Dummies" and many others.  There are the instructional CD/DVD's such as advertised on TV, and many Internet sites.  Do a search using Google for questions.  Finally, the Help files on each program and on Windows has a walth of information.

    npd424, There are a number of free online courses. You might want to check out the ones at CNET. I have taken a number of courses through CNET and have learned a great deal. You will have to register and then you can sign up for a number of different courses.
