You could remove and then reinstall IE. To do this, go to Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. When in Add/Remove Windows Components, Uninstall IE. Then put in your Windows Setup CD and click Install optional Windows Components. Check only IE and Then Install. You may lose all of your favorites but the problem should be fixed.
