When im surfing the internet on my computer, alot of times i always start to get the message "Page cannot be displayed" But its only on my computer. When im on other peoples, the sites work perfect! What could be the problem?
Have you checked your hosts file to see if some sites are being redirected? Have you checked your system for spyware and removed all that is found? Are you running any pop-up stoppers or ad-blockers? Can you give an example of a site that you can't reach?

Use the Windows Search function to search for the file named hosts (it has no extension and it is not the file named hosts.sam). When you do the search, make sure that you include hidden files and system files in the search. When you find the hosts file, open it in notepad. If you see the URL of any of the sites you cannot reach listed in the hosts file, then you should close the file and rename it to hosts.old.
Most of the time, its forums that i either cant reach or it freezes up before the page loads. Also, on some pages i get the message "you are not authorized to view this page" or as i think i already stated "Pages cannot be displayed".

The contents of
hosts are correct. Malware of some sort is the commonest cause of symptoms like this.
If you haven't already done so, download, install, update and run Ad-Aware and Spybot as described in
this article by ChrisRLG. If you continue to experience problems, the next step is to download HijackThis, a malware analysis and removal tool, install it as described ChrisRLG's article, and submit a log to the good folks in the
Virus Information and Removal board for review. Be sure to post the log in a new message, and describe the problem you're experiencing.
