MediaDirect

I purchased an XPS M1210 and re-installed OS. Before re-installing OS, I had formatted hard drive and merged partitions to the ways I like. Now, I cannot run MediaDirect. Dell just have CD to repair but they dont have the sofware (MediaDirect). How can I have MediaDirect for re-installing? Pls help.

According to this, Dell does have a Media Direct CD for reinstallation.  Click Me

From everything I can tell, MD needs its own 2GB partition separate from your OS partition. If you have messed with your partition tables, it appears the only way to get things back to normal is by re-partitioning your hard drive (yes this means destroying your windows partition) and then rebuilding your system from the ground up. this is accomplished this way: Put your MediaDirect setup disc in, boot off it, and then run the re-partitioning as prompted. Then either to a PC restore (by holding CTRL-F10 at bootup) or reinstall Windows/drivers/apps and once you have Windows rebuilt, run your MediaDirect setup disc under windows to install MD. One useful tidbit - you don't have to repartition using the MD setup disc, you can do it using a 3rd party partitioning program like Partition Magic. Just so long as the partition is there when you do the PC Restore. Still a pain that there's no way to reinstall without rebuiling your computer in some way.

Well, using partition magic, or g-parted, or any of the millions of partition tools out there, wouldnt it be possible to shrink/move the partitions about so you have free space before the main partition? I've been trying to find info on this, such as size, filesystem, etc... but cant find any anywhere. How would someone with the tools/knowlege necessary to juggle partitions install mediadirect after a clean format/install?
