MICROSOFT WINDOWS UPDATE

Microsoft update for Windows XP: KB967715.  Yellow install shield appears in task bar on every PC bootup, even after "installation complete" appears in update pane.  Upon inspection of the installation log in the windows folder, text explains that installation is incomplete.  "Setup encountered an error......update.verification file is not correct."   I manually entered the registry key, per advanced instructions, but the update continues to install incompletely.  Any suggestions???  Thank you in advance.

    Problem Resolved.

    Thank you very much Rick.  I followed the fix in the "post" you referred me to.  Installing KB950582 corrected the issue and allowed a successful installation of KB967715.
