I deleted Sonic by first uninstalling it from Add/Remove Programs.  Then I did a file and folder search using the keywords Sonic and Roxio and deleted any files and folders that were found.  I then used JV16 Powertools to search the registry for any entries containing Sonic or Roxio.  I then deleted those, letting JV16 make a backup in case there were problems.

Then I installed Nero 6 and updated it.  You can download a 30 day fully functional version of JV16 Powertools.  It's worth paying for IMO.

I'm assuming that you mean un-installed when you say "Removed."  So if after un-installing all the Sonic you continue to be notified with something referring to Sonic means some part of it remains on your PC.  Probably in the Registry.

A  way to eliminate that is by a Registry Edit.  If you are not familiar with editing the registry it might be best to let a Reg Cleaner do it for you.  There are several free ones as well as pay for programs.  I would not recommend a name as doing that has come back on me.  Read some other Forums, search for Registry Cleaner, or better use your Web Search and enter the same name.

If you use a Cleaner be sure it has a Backup feature in case it removes something you need.

Had you read what the Windows uninstaller applies to, you wud have seen/read/been aware/cognizant of the fact that it does NOT apply to Sonic programs!!!
