System32 folder appears at StartUp

Something now causes the System32 folder to appear during the start up process, but I can't find what is causing it to load to the screen.  I have looked in the StartUp in msconfig but nothing is obvious there.  I have looked in the Start Up folder under Documents and Settings but again nothing is obvious.  Can anyone tell me what could be opening the folder during startup?  I am afraid that sooner or later someone is going to unknowingly get in the folder and change something.

look in the registry for a corrupt or null entry in the RUN sections here:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

also an entry with " for a string value can do this

msconfig lists these values but i'd go right to the source and see what's actully in the registry
