Temp boot option for win 8?

On my other pc's vista and win 7 while the computer is booting I can tap f12 to get into a temp boot page (for running live cd's and such). I cannot find this option on my dell 660 running win 8, anyone know how I can get to the temp boot screen?

    Hello DPH1,

Tapping immediately after the Dell logo appears, should take you to One Time Boot Menu. If the operating system logo appears, wait until you see the Windows desktop, and then shut down the computer and try again. If that does not work, please let me know if this is the first time you are try to load the One Time Boot Menu. However, there are couple of steps that can be tried:
Releasing the flea power of the system:

    • Disconnect all the peripherals from the computer including the monitor, keyboard, mouse and the power cable.
    • Press and hold the power button for 10 to 15 seconds.
    • Connect only the power cable, keyboard and mouse.
    • Turn on the computer and check if you are able to access One Time Boot Menu.

If not, try accessing the BIOS Setup by tapping the F2 after restarting the computer and check if that works.

    Please write back with results.

Hello, at no time during startup do I see a dell logo (only the purplish welcome screen with my name and email address). When ever I tap F2, F8, F12 during start as I would with my old machines I am now taken to a blank screen and must manually power down the machine by holding the power button for a second or two.

As far as "releasing the flea power". Are you saying I should just remove the systems power cord while the computer is still on? Is there any chance of that damaging the system??

Just wanted to say thanks for the help so far. I was finally able to figure it out, for some reason the graphics card that I installed was somehow blocking the dell logo from appearing and not letting me use the F2, F8 or F12 function. After removing the graphics card and installing a DVI to HDMI cable everything is now working as it should.

    THANKS AGAIN!!!
