I had this problem a few weeks ago with my XPS410 Vista Home Premium (no SP1). I got the message that no TV Tuner was installed.
What I did was to go to device manager, then under Sound,Video and Game Controller found my TV Tuner driver,in my case ATI Unified AVStream Driver. Then went to Dell Support and downloaded the drivers for it.
After installing the drivers, I had to go thru the WMC setup again. End result TV Tuner is working again.
My TV Tuner now works. I updated the driver and works perfectly. Thank you for your help
