Unhandled Exception Error Message

For X-mas I received a Dell XPS 8300 Intel Core I5 6GB Ram running Home Premium on a  64bit system.

I have a 3rd party texting software called, "FireText" twww.firetext.com  that I've acquired for event use.

After multiple dowloads and attempts the software will not load yielding the following msg.

Initially, I was told that the conflict was due to SQL specs and the need for SQL Express and .Net Framework 3.5. To remedy that I downloaded MS SQL Server 2008(64bit).The system has .Net Framework 4 Client Profile & Extended.

After two weeks of troubleshooting I'm being told by FireText that the software isn't compatible with a 64bit system because it was built on a 32bit and 3.5 .Net Framework platform. I 've verified that the software works on a Win 7 Pro 32 bit system.

Can someone help me resolve this problem or do I need to downgrade to a 32 bit system to accomodate the technical inefficency of the software?

Thanks in advance...

Generally 32 bit apps run without problems on a 64 bit OS system.  I have many 32 bit apps including Microsoft Office 2003, Pro Tools MP9 professional recording studio software and even some old 16 bit game apps.

If you want to run the software and the software vendor says it will only run under 32 OS you may be forced to install the 32 bit version (which is going to limit your RAM access as a 32 bit OS can only access a little less than 4GB of RAM.

One suggestion, try installing/running the program in a compatibility mode and see if that helps.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

I forgot to mention my failed attempts in running the software in compatability mode.
