Would also like to run the complete "New Yorker" magazine CD set under Vista--it came out in the XP days.
Background on me: Still living with my Windows 98 Dell/dial up, and planning to get an XPS 420 and switch to Verizon DSL.
I have nothing against Vista, but hear of many problems, and I'd like to use some of my old software and the above-mentioned peripherals, at least for awhile.
Thoughts/suggestions would be helfpul. I've put this off for far too long (my old Dell certainly is proof of how well they continue to run!), but things are getting out of hand, and I must join the modern era!
Vista contains the driver for the 1100. However, HP will not write a Vista driver for the 5300c. Google for mucho info on how others got it to work in Vista using the XP drivers.
