Vista and XP Pro

Is it possible to install my old XPPro on a 2nd hard drive and have 2 OS installed. Or will Vista not allow that either? lol
 
So far, I seemed to like Vista, but none of my designing software or AV is compatable with it. So if a second OS would work, that might be a solution.
 
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

    Ideally you would want to have both operating systems on the same hard drive but in different pysical partitions.  Either could be the default OS so what you need to google for is "dual boot with Vista and XP".
