What is this: "ntuser.dat.LOG1"?

I have  files named: ntuser.dat.LOG1 and ntuser.dat.LOG2 that seem to get updated everytime I go online.  Can anyone tell me what they are?  Should I delete them? The OS is Vista.  Thanks in advance for your help.

I searched for it on my computer and opened the file location and found that its on the Appdata, Recent. Which is what you have recently being on programs and internet websites etc. I don't think you should delete it as I am not fully sure if its not important or not.

They are backups of your registry file. (ntuser.dat)

If you run regedit and browse to HK_Current_User everything there is contained in that file.
