XP Pro workstations & win 2000 server multiple issues
Any one else have problems with this combination? We replaced two 98 machines and one 2000 machine on our network with three new Dell XP Pro machines. Worst Mistake I have made in 12 years of buisness. The new workstaions do not net work well with each other and are a freaking diaster conecting to our windows 2000 server. We have to reeboot constantly to re estabolish conections with the severs and with shared printers and drives. We lose log in profiles. The only workstations on the net work functioning correctly are the Win 2000 ones we did not replace. WE had an IT network proffesional configure and install the new systems. He also keeps the 911 and police dept systems for our county running and works on networks that have over 3,000 workstations but even he can't figure this out. I'm ready to ship back to dell but I can't seem to get any one on the phone. Ironic thing is that we one of Dells warehouses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suggest you also post your question on this board.

Might help to add more detail to your question re software (eg novell), configurations, etc. Did you run diagnostics on systems to rule out hardware faults (eg NICs) ?
