The latest firmware update was not available to the servers globally. This is causing a download failure for you. The dongle firmware can end up in its bootloader state when the firmware update does not complete successfully. The dongle loses communication with the keyboard and mouse.
How to resolve?
Manually download and install the following firmware:
Dell needs to first verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Dell PC Service Tag and/or WR221 Wireless Dell Universal Pairing Receiver Dell order number with them.
* What Dell PC model?
* What BIOS version is installed on the Dell PC?
* What operating system? * Specific Dell Universal Pairing Receiver model? e.g. WR221
* Did you have issues using DPM (Dell Peripheral Manager) 1.7.6? If not =
- Disconnect the WR221 from the PC
- Uninstall DPM 1.7.7
- Restart the PC
- Install DPM 1.7.6
- Reconnect the WR221 to the PC * Go to Settings > Updates and try to run the firmware update. What happens?

Hi everyone,

How to resolve?
Manually download and install the following firmware:
Download this .zip file: Standalone Bootloader FW Update Utility
Extract the .zip file to a temporary folder.
Open the temporary folder and right-click
Dongle_FWUpdateTool 0.1.2.6.exeand select Run as Administrator.Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update.
Launch the Dell Peripheral Manager application.
Run the Firmware update process in DPM.
Go back to Step.1 and repeat them if the dongle is still having issues.
