Go to SolutionXPS 13 Plus Making A Clicking Noise
After a seemingly normal day of usage, I noticed the laptop making a clicking noise. It's prominent when I open the screen, but generally, holding it seems to produce the noise sometimes too. The laptop functions completely fine, everything runs fine. But this issue keeps giving me anxiety. I tried pressing the back cover, and if I press in a specific spot, I get the noise.
The black arrow should give you a general idea where that spot is. When I contacted Dell Support, they made me run the hardware diagnostic, and it said that everything is fine. What do I do about this issue?

The only thing that has movement in the system near that spot is the cooling fan. Check the fans for noise and also examine them for any problems with the fan blade assy.
