savegrp.log not getting created

Hi there,

I am using 7.4.3 for windows.

My savegrp.log is getting too big for my taste. So i Move it to a NAS share for archiving purpose. So my supposition is that the notification will create a new one if he doesn't find one (just like the messages.log when you restart the NW service).

To my surprise, it is not creating a new one. And even if I created a blank file, It is not getting updated.

Now, I am tempted to restart NW services. But wondering if someone has other suggestions for this.

Thanks

Deleting files an application uses can sometimes be unpredictable - I would suggest using touch to create the file and see if that starts to fill up.

I've just noticed you are using Windows and I'm not certain whether there is the touch command there... Have you tried creating a new blank file for the logs?

Just restart services and you will be fine.
