Aurora R7, error 2000-0716, 3rd party case
Hi All! In summary, I purchased a new case and salvaged the mobo and cpu from my Aurora R7. Its been interesting to say the least. My current (and hopefully last) challenge is that I'm now seeing a power button cable error when I boot up (screenshot attached). I'm able to hit continue and everything is fine, except for my ego. How can I bypass this error? Originally, I had the new case's power wire hooked up the 3 and 4 pin of the proprietary socket --all other pins open (screenshot attached). This powers on the PC without a problem except the bios error. After some reading, I convinced myself that removed the power button from the aurora case (screenshot attached) and plugging that into the mobo would look ugly but bypass the error. To my surprise, this didn't fix it! So now I'm here to plead with someone who understand... how might I stop SupportAssist from throwing this error on boot up? Thanks in advance!

This forum thread may help and I agree that if the system is working fine except for that nagging error, disable Support Assist.

Definitely worth new case and cooler and vrm heatsinks etc.
R5 R7 R8 R10 seem to use the same 12 pin LED connection.

Thanks. I agree I think this is the solution but I'm done with it. I ordered a new mobo (asus rog strix z390-e). I'll keep my non-overclockable i7-8700 and run it into turbo 2.0 mode. Thanks Dell, it was fun while it lasted, I'm out!!!

Several people have figured this out. I modded the underside of my board so its not so ugly looking.

r11 case swap bypass startup errors instructions
Ground pins 3&9 for black case 12 pin led_con or 3,9,12 white case. pin 4 is the power button that gets grounded.
This is the stock 12 pin cable cut one end off and solder
the correct wires together.Ground pins 3&9 for black case led_con or 3,9,12 white case
R10 RYZEN EDITION
RED(3), PURPLE(8), GREY(9) are shorted on white case
BLACK(12), ORANGE(4) are power switch
(note there are two black and two brown wires!) Also note newer models of cable are ALL black wires to make this harder.From Reddit

Get meter and figure out which pins on the 12 pin LED connector are Grounded when the cable is attached then jumper them to ground underneath and viola error gone. Not going to take mine apart to figure that out again. @Cass-Ole might still remember which pins need to be grounded. R7 power button 29F15 reverse engineering.
