I start my game through AWCC and run in High Performance mode and Thermal performance when I do my R9 fans kick in and ready to game. I don’t have any issues running my game with AWCC running in the background. I usually have the game/AWCC - msi afterburner for gpu fan and temp control and discord running at the same time with no issues.
