17 R4, Restore factory settings
I am trying to restore factory settings in my Alienware with the Dell OS Recovery Tool.
It worked fine the first time I chose to install the new OS. But the internet failed, and it stopped working.
Now I'm trying to do it again, and the fixing the system option is not working, neither is the recovering from the system image.
It doesn't recognize the OS anymore and when I try to do it again, I can't find my SSD. It only shows the option to install on the SATA disk. I want to install it on the SSD.
I know the SSD is not broken, because it is running, also, I am typing this message via this operating system.
The only thing is that it doesn't show the option to install the fresh image in the SSD.

I would reinstall Windows 10 directly from Microsoft using their Media Creation Tool. Doing this removes all your data and software though so you'd need to save it all on an external drive. If you have Microsoft Office then you have to make sure it's linked to your Microsoft account so you can reinstall it later. There could be an option to keep your files but I always do clean installs.
You can also check to see that your SSD is being recognised by the system. Type Disk Management in the Windows search bar and all your drives should be visible.
