With a non-Dell battery the system is not going to charge or the battery be recognized by the system. This is a Dell and not a Windows situation. Some users have used non-Dell batteries that have worked but it really a hit and miss situation.

Hi @DanFG welcome to this free user to user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
The Dell Alienware laptop protection system has automatically rejected charging an incompatible new battery. Battery status in BIOS is telling user that this incompatible battery could damage the laptop and should be removed. Laptop without battery is designed to function as Desktop on ac adapter power.
Please inform Amazon seller that laptop has rejected this incompatible new battery. The Amazon purchase protection system requires seller to pay for return of this battery and provide a full refund.
There is no requirement to fix BIOS, install a compatible new OEM battery so that laptop protection system can charge battery. Search internet using battery Dell Part Number (DP/N).
The thread subject and opening post icon declares two different laptops.
