Although my wife and I only get one laptop every other year, between the two of us, I like to keep up with the current designs available.

Looking at the m15 R6, I have two thoughts about it:

1. It looks like the memory can be "field upgraded".  That's a welcome change from the m15 R3 I have where the memory is soldered onto the motherboard.  Kudos to Dell / Alienware for switching back to this approach.

2. I would like to ask your design team to consider one change as models progress.  Currently, the m15 R6 has the Ethernet port on the left side, and a Type A USB connector on the back.  I suggest swapping those two over, for the following reason.  In typical use, Ethernet is either unused, or if it is used, it'll only be accessed very infrequently.  By comparison, a Type A USB port can see far greater use. In my current setup, it's very convenient to use that one for my headphones.

Other than that, it's a rock solid looking system, and when the time comes for my wife to upgrade her current m15 (one of the originals) we'll be looking very closely at the current line of devices.
