I understand this is the same topic we were discussion on the other thread. I can guess your urgency to get the old CX700 back to use.

As I mentioned in my reply to the other post, it is very much possible to use the serial cable to connect to the serial port of the Storage Process to a service laptop or computer and create a PPP connection from the computer to the SP using certain steps and details. You may search this forum for some old threads on this matter.

However, as I understand these steps are to be done by EMC authorized/trained service person - so I'll request you to engage EMC Support personnel for this activity. However, please feel free to revert back if that is not a possible option.

My 2 cents - I am sure there will be more replies coming up.
