I have a SC4020 that was put into storage 2 years ago in working condition. It was now required again so i booted it up and after a few attempts figured out what password had been used.

Since it hadn't been used for 2 years the battery warning was amber. I thought well.. it's been in storage for 2 years so i'll just leave it over night and see if it's happy in the morning.

It wasnt... So i fiddled with re-seating the batteries, swapping them between the controllers, but every time i re-seated it, it would shine green for like 20 seconds, but then started blinking amber again.

DSM says "Battery missing", like it's not even detecting it.

Since it's a lab unit, i went onto Ebay and found two reasonably priced batteries from a neighbouring country. 1 week later i now recieved said batteries today, but no dice, same issues :/

I plugged the batteries in, and now 8 hours later i have the same issue of "Battery not detected". It doesn't even read a voltage, or list the amount of days remaining.

I mean... these are second hand batteries (dell original), there's not guarantee that these are in any better working condition. So question is, is there any way to check if these batteries are detected, but with too low voltage, or something else is going on?

I saw that SCOS 6.6 had an issue with incorrectly stating battery wear, but this array is running 7.4

Appreciate any helps, tips or advice i can get. It's a nice piece of kit, don't want to throw it away :)
