Attempt to purchase Dell computer
I ordered a Dell laptop online, I received an acknowledgement with all my ordering imformation on it . I payed with my charge and a Dell gift card I got from my credit cards rewards program. The customer service nightmare began. I emailed customer service after 3 days to see when my order would ship, I got an acknowledgement but as of now, a week later I have not got a reply . I attempted to chat with a customer service rep. I was dropped aftem 15 minutes. I called and spent 45 minutes on the phone, and was told my order had not been placed. I asked to cancel the order because of the poor customer service wasting my time. I was told the order was cancelled and it was not cancelled by the same person in the same conversation. Today I received and email saying my order had been cancelled because my charge card was declined...
On a positive note bank of america was not able to refund the $50 gift card I used for the purchase, but did credit me my interest for a month which was more than the $50 . Why my credit card was declined was a mystery to them as I have ample credit.
i would never buy anything from Dell or recommend them to anyone. Perhaps Dell should get into another line of business that does'nt involve trying to sell things , they did not seem the least bit interested in taking my money inspite of my willingness to spend it.

I would have been on the phone with Dell to find out why it was declined?
I think a phone call from Dell informing you of this and asking if you have another card to use before cancelling the order would have been inline.
There has to be some reason the card was declined.
