I ordered a monitor right before Christmas and was told it would be here by the 24th, I believe. Clearly, that didn’t happen. The arrival date then changed to the 29th (days after the 24th went by). Clearly, THAT didn’t happen either. The arrival date still says the 29th. I contacted support and was told my order was ready to ship and that it would be expedited. It was already ordered via express shipping, so I don’t really see how it can be expedited further. It already should have been.

Now, I don’t necessarily mind that it didn’t arrive by Christmas (it wasn’t a gift), but if you’re going to tell me it’s coming on such and such day, I expect it to be there by such and such day. Let alone the fact that this is now TWICE they’ve lied about the shipping and arrival dates. Frankly, I think Dell knows they can’t ship these items as quickly as they promise. It seems more like a marketing ploy. In my Christmas example: Dell tells customers they can expect their new gift by Christmas, so people impulsively buy last minute. Too bad they’ll be disappointed.

The best part is: I can’t even cancel my order on the website if I wanted to. Not to mention the hold on my card for a product that I have yet to see. I love Alienware products and have since I was a young kid. I’m disgusted at this point, and extremely disappointed that a brand I’ve recommended to many people over the years has done nothing but deceive the people that financially support them. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you, my friends.
