DataDomain BIOS time
Hi there ,,,
Does anybody know how to check BIOS (Hardware)time in Data Domain ?
It would be useless if NTP has set and kernel time is updated already ,,,,
But Originally ...how Hardware time is set ?
Would this be set on location of Hardware manufactured ?
Also ...to check it ... check /etc/adjtime file if there is in DD ?
If anybody knows or ever open up DD straight from Factory , please give me some information . it would be nice !

Thanks heaps for the reply .... but I am afraid that I am after BIOS time as in HW time ... not DD system time ...
Original HW clock can be set wherever DD has manufactured? or it is depends on manufacturer for HW ?
Like you mentioned , I understand NTP will adjust DD time overall but my customer would like to know Initial time as in BIOS time ... Hope it does make sense at least ...

I'm not sure I understand the question or specifically why you're asking but the system time is initially programmed into the BIOS - AKA: CMOS. As is the case in pretty much all computers/servers.
The command "date" from DDOS will tell you what time you have set.
"config show timezone" will tell you what timezone the DD is set to and explain any regional offsets.
"ntp status" will tell you when you last synced to NTP and that it's running and the current clock time.
