Downloadable software says 'CD Required'

Question

I just downloaded & installed the downloadable version of Mall Tycoon 3, & after doing all of that, I double click the icon to the game, & it says 'CD Required'. It doesn't make sense to me that a downloadable game would need a CD... any thoughts, suggestions, anything?

Sadly, I purchased it from Dell. I don't know where to find someone to help me with this, it's quite frustrating spending over $20 on a game that doesn't even work.
