Dell MD3200 host mapping issue

Hello

Need some assistance with an MD3200 we have. It is connected to the server (Dell R710) via SAS cable to a Dell Perc 6/E card. I've set it up so it has a virtual drive and have set a host mapping but in Disk Management it never shows the storage in Disk Management. The host mappings are set like this

Any clues as to what I am missing please?

    Hello AlpsUk,

You need to use a SAS HBA instead of the PERC card.  Your MD3200 needs a 6GB SAS non-raid card.  The issue is that you have configured your setup correctly, however since you have your MD3200 connected to a PERC card, your PERC is not able to present the virtual disk to the host. Here is the link to the support matrix & if you look on page 13 it lists out the supported sas hba’s. https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/powervault-md3200_support-matrix_en-us.pdf

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Sam. We had a HBA card delivered today and all is working now. Thanks for replying.
