I updated a 6000 running 7.0.4 to the latest 8.0 firmware (R396836) and the FS7600 to 3.0.930717 (from 3.0.920760 or 3.0.930714). The upgrades went as expected, but I am getting a couple of messages, and just wanted to verify that they were normal. After several days, I am still getting a warning that the NAS controllers are not up-to-date, and the Quota tab says that I have to wait for a newer version to support quotas.
Also, the "root" password on the NAS is still pretty obvious. I was hoping for a fix on that.
You are most likely receiving the error about the FS firmware being wrong because you are using a version of the EQL firmware that is slightly newer that what was originally released for the FS beta program.
The correct version of EQL firmware should be R393928.
Thanks. That is the version I am using (from that site). I really appreciate that for this release a new site has been added for the updated Beta version. In the past, I've always had to ping people to get the lastest info.

Can you post the messages you are unclear about and possible a screenshot or two showing the errors?
Thanks,
Dave
