I have a MD3200i and MD1200i running in VMware Config.
We are required to move them into another rack.
I have shut down all of the VMs or migrated them and have powered down the ESXi Servers.
I then turned off the MD3200i by pressing the on/off switch.
I waited for a while, and then turned off the MD1200i by pressing the on/off switch.
However, the 1200i sounds like a jet engine..
Is this normal and when will lit be safe to move both units?

Hello SJNAPL,
Your power down is mostly correct except for you should power down the MD1200 first then you should power down the MD3200i. Now since you have powered down the MD3200i first then I would wait about 5 minutes & then you can pull the power cords to the MD1200.
Power up
Power on the MD3200i then MD1200 wait about 5-15 minutes to ensure that the san is up once that is complete then you can power up your host & connect to the MD3200i.

The process worked,,,,I powered on the 3200 and then the 1200 and waited about 10 minutes.
Powered up the ESXi Servers and via vCenter, can access all the MD volumes
