PS4000 Replication

Hi
My question is how does equal logic view the siz of exchange database in a scenario where database is shrinking?

we have two ps4000 and setup as replication partner over our WAN link. we had 70GB of exchange database and we are using ASM to do the application consistant(atleast that is what i was told) replication.

now we have been archiving user email and database has been shrunk to 39gb but i had been getting lots of error saying our replication is failing. when i looked replication statuts it was trying to replcate 38GB of data and was taking hrs to complete. we also didn't archive everyone's email at once it was done in perod of time which i am not able to understand why it has to replicate whole of data?

now i am also not sure about the meaning of change only data here (which i understood will be just whatever data that is not already replicated). i was hopping replication will bee faster as now has less data to replcate not other way around.

i will apprecaite if you guys can shad some light here and perhaps advice me of better way of replicating.

Thank you
